People think that right-wing people will change their mind, or at least admit a mistake, after having their hypocrisies pointed out, but they won’t. That only happens when you have actual ethical principles as your guiding values. The only guiding principle on the right-wing is “winning,” and admitting that you made a logical mistake looks “weak,” so they won’t ever do it.

Liberal newspapers spend a lot of time trying to show that conservatives are hypocritical in an attempt to get them to admit that they are. It will never work. The left should just focus on winning ourselves and engaging with disillusioned people. Don’t think right-wingers are not aware of the absurdities of their replies. They just don’t care.

If I have learned anything over the course of having this Tumblr blog, it is that right-wingers do not know what leftists are like at all and only think they know based on what they are told and shown in their bad meme addled echo chambers. Like the troll questions and messages I get – and oh boy are there a lot – all fall under the assumption that I will react a certain way or get “triggered” in some way.

It’s just so pathetic, to be honest.

them: i’d rather take fascism over socialism if those are my current two options
me: … so you’re a crypto-fascist then
them: what no i just think fascism is better than what we’re doing right now–they make a lot of good points
