Figured I’d ask here so uh MEDIA STUDIES I’m doing a readings assessment, I have never taken this class before. I’m working at New Zealand NCEA Level 3 if that means anything to anyone (just below university/college level)
I don’t know how to structure my essay. I’m working through an historical and semiotic reading of American History X with the thesis’ of “Neo-Nazism sucks arse and we should recognize its signs and never allow it” and “they put the ideology up and its better now theyve taken it down” respectively.
I am currently working on them as if they are English essays -introduction, point 1, point 2 point 3, conclusion. I am uncertain as to whether this will allow me to get my point across, especially as I have to discuss and analyze and evaluate my points (using the paragraph structure of Statement Example eXplanation Your comment/wider world link very loosely)
If anyone has pointers please feel free to message! Even better, if you’re willing to look through the essay I can copy it up to Google Docs for you to comment on?
