i think one of the biggest issues in the aro/ace comm is how everyone bends over backwards to find needlessly specific labels to try and fit every type of experience, when theres like 7 billion ppl on earth. 

im not saying having these labels is bad, but i rlly Rlly Wish that when ppl come in stressing about how they’re not sure if they qualify as ace bc 12 years ago they think they had sexual attraction and also they like masturbating sometimes ppl would say stuff like hey. everyone has a complicated relationship with attraction. its ok if you can’t find a specific label for you experience. you know you better than anyone 

but instead ppl are all like ‘maybe you’re grey ace’ ‘maybe you’re demi’ ‘maybe you’re autochroissexual’ (which btw means you’re ‘distant from your object of sexual arousal’) like actually maybe its more important that ppl acknowledge their complicated feelings are just that : complicated, & they understand that they’re not ‘different’ bc of them than it is for you to find an adequate box for them to sit in lol
