publicschoolstories:

My AP compsci teacher was totally overqualified for his job, and just stuck around because he liked us so much. He was so good at his job that, even though he wasn’t a part of the Districts IT department, he essentially controlled the whole school’s network from his office computer. He told me once that he wrote a program to monitor all his students social media usage but he only used it so he could pick up on signs of depression and suicidal behavior and give his students the help they needed. He also built a full arcade cabinet emulator in the classroom, and he would give people failing citizenship grades for spoiling any movies or games within the first two years of them coming out. He’s a super cool guy, and the most chaotic good person I’ve ever met.
