of course i dont think playing violent video game by itself is going to make a kid capable of and willing to commit murder because thats also dumb as shit but children shouldnt be exposed to the concepts of violence and death before they’re able to grasp the implications of it and what effect it can have on them and the way they view the world

basically just, the cavalier attitude we have about violence in combination with never wanting to actually talk about sex in a constructive way that isn’t just used as a plot device, often in tandem with violence, in shows and games and movies is a pretty terrible combination

Hell, I don’t care if I sound like a conservative, I seriously worry sometimes about how FPS games affect the minds of people who play them since no matter how you slice them they’re murder simulators.

Watching a 2 year old jump off a dresser onto a mattress yelling “I’m kill myself” is all fun and games until you realize he learnt those words from playing fuckin Minecraft yo. Death threats from a 9 year old is hilarious till you hear what she’s been saying on Roblox. They don’t even get what they’re learning, but it could lead them to some fucked up places
