People don’t realize all the subtle ways that there is art in their lives. Even if the original design or artist or whatever has past or whatever, it still had to be done by an artist in the first place.
There’s a reason art is the first signs of intelligence that anthropologists look at.
This is a good argument for why studying art is important, but it also shows why people don’t always notice the contributions of artists: it’s become so ingrained into our daily lives that we take it for granted. It’s like roads or trees, we can’t imagine art not being there and we forget people have to make it.
