All because of a dog toy.

I work at Place Hardware and we sell lovely little dog toys of a particular yellow-haired cheese cheeto that lives in a white house. These fog toys sold like crazy despite their $21.99 price, even by the people that support this cheese cheeto. In fact, they sold so well, they were put into the impulse buy lane by the front! Most people loved it, but once in a blue moon, we got a customer that told us we need to learn respect and that we’re a shitty company. We usually shrugged it off and carried on with business…until recently.

We had a rich entitled customer who supports cheese cheeto, come into the store and see these things. He immediately starts yelling and complaining that we need to learn respect for Mr. Cheeto because he’s very important and that we need to be more patriotic. He told us that our opinions don’t matter and that we need to support him “no matter what” because he is still in office. He told us that he’ll take his buiness elsewhere. (and thank goodness he did) We were having a huge rush and a long fucking line going and this guy yelling wasn’t worth any cashier’s time, so we apologized and carried on with business as usual. The guy leaves in a huff and drives away in his big trophy truck.

A few minutes later, the store has calmed down and everyone is trying to relax a little now that the store had about one customer in it.

The phone rings.

It’s the rich entitled guy! He calls and asks for a manager, so i put him on hold to transfer him to one. In the mean time, i radio the entire store and tell them what happened earlier and management just kinda sighed and picked up the phone. My manager ended up having a bit of fun with this guy because he hung up with a grin.

I guess this really pissed off Mr. Entitled because we got a call from corporate 20 minutes later… i felt so bad for her because i cpuld hear the exhaustion in her voice after dealing with that asshole. The store owner picks up and comes out a few minutes later and moves the dog toys to the pet aisle. She didn’t really talk so she probably got some shit from corporate about it.

The next day, the employees opened and holy shit was that a wild opening. This guy’s mother came into the store, HIS MOTHER, and started screaming and yelling that if those dog toys were still up, there were going to be some problems. Management dealt with her but she started going fucking nuts and revealed that she was carrying a gun on her belt. This startled management at first, but then they got really pissed off, especially when customers that were coming in got scared and ran to their cars.

So they managed to make her run out of the store, scared. How, you may be asking…

Apparently while on the phone with corprate yesterday, the entitled guy threatened the store with “someone like me might make a pipe bomb and plant it at the store if the store continues to sell these dog toys”. This happening the same day as the synagogue shooting and close to the time of pipe bombs being sent out to certian politicians, corprate took this very seriously and reported him to Homeland Security and to the FBI.

We threatened the mother with calling the fbi because of what her son said yesterday and she took tf off. We managed to get her plate number and reported it to the police.

In other news, we’re getting training for emergency situations soon.

TDLR: Cheese cheeto supporter didn’t like a dog toy we had and threatened corprate that he may bomb the store if this dog toy continues to sell.
